By Southeast corner, I presume they mean the corner inside the intersection of South Stadium Drive and Fieldhouse Dr (down Powerhouse Lane).
Auburn Athletics has not yet asked fans to wear either orange or blue. If they do, this post will be updated.
Now, as for the game itself . . .
LSU will be up for this one. After a foundation-shaking loss to Troy State (yes, I know we’re not supposed to call them that anymore), the Bengals went on the road for an SEC win at Gainesville.
They’re back in the hunt, and they’ve got a Top 10 opponent at home. They’ll be up.
If we’re up, it won’t matter.
Folks are a little skittish to buy in on Auburn being the real deal just yet. That’s understandable. And, we may need a few more weeks to be real enough to beat the best teams in the country. LSU, however, is not one of those teams.
If Auburn plays as well as we did last week, we’ll get our first win at Baton Rouge since the Clinton administration.
The key will be confidence on offense. If we start strong, floor it. If we don’t, or if LSU has success pressing on D, stay calm—stay confident, and play our game. That’s all it will take—play our game.
Three straight games on the road in the SEC West—that’s what we’re facing. How we play at Baton Rouge will set the tone for the road stretch. Win these three, and then come home with serious momentum, and everything to play for.
What a time to be an Auburn Tiger. War Eagle!
